Introduction to trans and gender diverse inclusion in sport + movement settings

This session will help prepare participants to better understand the concept of gender diversity, and how they can support trans and gender diverse athletes to participate and engage in sport and movement settings.    

Key learning units will include:   

Exploring the concept of gender and sex, and trans and gender diverse inclusion in sport and movement settings Understanding the law and the requirements around the Sex Discrimination Act and the Equal Opportunity Act, in addressing various forms of discrimination.  

Barriers and facilitators to the inclusion of trans and gender diverse athletes 

What inclusion can look like for trans and gender diverse athletes: case studies in applied settings.
