Wear it Purple Day is an annual celebration of the LGBTI+ community where supporters wear purple to recognise the day. Wear it Purple Day is on 30th August in 2019 and in recognition of the Day, Proud 2 Play are hosting a special panel discussion and networking event with some of the leaders in the LGBTI+ visibility and LGBTI+ inclusion in sport space. This event is proudly sponsored by Cricket Victoria and Tennis Victoria.
This is the perfect opportunity to hear from a distinguished panel of people with a breadth of experience to talk about the life changing impact inclusion in sport has had on them, why sporting organisations should embrace LGBTI+ visibility, how they can do it and how else sporting organisations can support the LGBTI+ community through inclusive policy change.
If you are a sports CEO, a diversity and inclusion manager, a communications manager, a policy influencer or from any other branch of sports administration, this is an event for you!

- Ross Wetherbee (President, Wear it Purple)
- Meg Hutchins (champion AFLW player)

- Chris Bunting (Pride and Diversity Officer, Melbourne University Sport)
- Kerry Tavrou (Head of Diversity and Inclusion, Tennis Australia)
Coffees will be available from the cafe for free at the end of the panel event. Please stick around to chat and catch up!
